Review of the training and further education working group

In 2022, two working meetings of the training and further education group were held under the leadership of Prof. Jürgen Stampfl:

1. MEETING / ONLINE

Monday, June 13, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

The agenda included digital AM training opportunities at both TU Wien and FH Campus Wien

• J. Schönherr (TU Wien), Digital AM education at EIT Manufacturing

• Sebastian Geyer (FH Campus Wien), Presentation of the doctoral program “Digiphot” (FH Campus Wien - TU Wien)

• Exchange of experience on AM training concepts

2. MEETING

October 13, 2022 at the FH Campus Vienna with short presentations by

• Sebastian Geyer (FH Campus Vienna): “Presentation of current projects at the FH Campus Vienna”

• Ioanna Giouroudi (TU Vienna): “Structured doctoral programs at the TU Vienna”

• Anna-Julia Weber (TU Vienna): “Additive manufacturing in Viennese educational institutions - from elementary school to TU Master's”

In the respective subsequent discussion rounds, it was noted that there is no overview of the respective training opportunities in the 3D sector in Austria.

The courses offered at schools depend on the commitment of individual teachers. There is a clear lack of an educational offensive in this particular area.
